Talaga lang naman... my Saturday experience

Saturday A.M.

Wow, I was able to wake up very early for my meeting with a potential client. I drove all the way to Shangri La to meet with Aia's dad, Kokoy Jimenez, at Starbucks. The job: animated backgrounds for a children's play using flash. The concept was so interesting I wonder why I didn't think of it in the first place.

Mr. Jimenez briefed me a bit with how he wanted the backgrounds to appear as so I could work my magic. Yes. The theme was similar to The Beatle's Yellow Submarine video. I hope I can do well in this one. My reputation is on the line.

The meeting was fast and efficient leaving me with enough time to flounder about in Shangri La. Floundering was fun especially when I discovered that Shang Quantum Powerstation finally got Guitar Freaks 11th and Drum Mania 10th with session mode capabilities. NYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! The machines were mine for the playing for an hour and a half. :D

Played all time favorites like
- Termination
- Twinkle Star
- Mr. Bobby
- Sobakasu
- Sailing Day
- Tentaikansoku

And discovered new ones like
- Puzzle *
- Prism

* sung by Eiichirou Taruki, the same artist responsible for Mr. Bobby and I am a Loser. Honestly, I'd go to Japan and stalk this guy. If I had a uterus, it'd do somersaults and backflips just listening to him. XD I'd learn guitar and sing these songs to a potential girlfriend (after translating them of course)

Saturday Afternoon

I commuted to school from Shang, leaving the pick up at a parking lot at Shang. I uploaded the review I made of I love Sushi for Heaven and Hell's Kitchen. Introduced Super Bomberman 5 to the masses of SPO causing them to stray from the work they were supposed to do. Sheesh. >_<

Accompanied Joanah and Jenjen to Glorietta to deliver an issue of BLiP to Folded and Hung. We assimilated Joanah into the Bread Talk fever. Tried new breads this time like that Tornado bread with black pepper chicken teriyaki inside. XD

I would have enjoyed the afternoon but the multitude of homosapiens running around the mall combined with the sheer weight of carrying a heavy laptop made me lose the will to live during that hour. Thankfully Joanah and Jenjen gave me the strength to carry on (kaya matuwa kayong dalawa!)

The MRT trip from Ayala to Shaw Blvd was ghastly. I wont talk about it anymore.

Saturday P.M.

Ahhhhhh... my first experience in getting stranded from 6:00 pm to 9:30pm under heavy traffic caused by a major downpour.

I hated the motorists especially this damned taxi who visiously tried to cut in front of me. Ang TANGA TANGA TANGA TANGA TANGA NYA. Sobra. AS IN!!! Nakita na nga nyang BAHA ilusob ba naman ang kotse sa baha! Sige may-I-try naman ang GAGO. Ayan dahil sa katangahan tumirik kotse nya. TANGA!!! Hu-well... naka pick up ako at buti na lang four lanes sa EDSA kaya na-cut in front of him din ako.

Pffffft. Mega award ko sya for Gawad Angking Katangahan. (sabi nga ni Didi kay Ada sa Zhazha Zaturnnah)

Thankfull I am an optimist. Yes, an optimist. I was able to find happiness inside the pickup. I had some left over bread from Bread talk, mineral water, my new Creative Zen Micro 5gig mp3 player and my celphone. Eunice, Mike, Jen and Pope kept me company throughout the night so I'm very thankful for them. Thanks guys ;D

Charisse, Marie, Diana, Thea and Mike were waiting for me at SM Fairview so I managed to get there in one piece. I stood before them a broken and miserable man. They felt so sorry for me that it earned me a free dinner courtesy of Diana. :*

I took them to their homes from SM and flopped down my bed when I reached my own home.

Mood (during the time): Mixed
Listening to (during that time): I completely forgot
